Five-Day Applied Statistics Programme for Research and Industry

 

The Statistical Methods Summer School draws on the lecturers’ extensive experience in academic research and university teaching. It also draws on practical insights from the application of the Six Sigma methodology to real-world process improvement.

 

Throughout the programme, you will develop a strong understanding of statistical methods and gain hands-on experience with the Minitab Solution Centre. You will learn how to perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA), understand what defines a stable process and apply linear regression techniques in practice.

 

The course will guide you through statistical hypothesis testing for data-driven decision-making, equipping you with the skills to analyse and interpret your own data with confidence. You will also explore Design of Experiments (DoE), a powerful approach that can significantly accelerate and improve the efficiency of your experimental workflows, as well as the clarity of your results and how you present them.

 

This programme is designed for PhD students, researchers and industry professionals who work with data and wish to enhance their analytical abilities and decision-making skills.
